YO! I am thrilled to present my 2023 promo mix. I haven't released many individual tunes over the past couple years while I've focused on writing, exploring, and defining my sound a little better. This mix is the culmination of a lot of work with new gear, new techniques, and new perspectives. I think it's also the start of what is coming next for the Android Dreaming project.

When releasing music today, there can often be a fixation on growing streaming numbers and writing tracks to appease algorithms. There's a lot of value there if you want to grow an audience, but there's something I really love about staying quiet for a while and then then dropping a large body of new work. The promo mix format always reminds me of discovering early promo mixes from some of my favorite artists, and I think presenting new material in the context of a DJ mix helps to craft a narrative through the music. That's what inspires me to keep putting out promo mixes Additionally, I love that I can include a bunch of bootlegs and other samples I could never clear for distribution.
